Click here to register for skiing/boarding so we know to expect you. \n\n\n\n\n\nSarah Sindell\, MD\n\n\n\nDr. Sindell grew up in the foothills of Western Maine\, in a small college town called Farmington. She went to Siena College and majored in Biology and then to Albany Medical College. She then headed across the country for General Surgery Residency in Seattle\, Washington at Virginia Mason Medical Center where she met her husband. After five years in Seattle Dr. Sindell wanted an adventure both personally and professionally\, so she and her husband headed north to Anchorage\, Alaska.She worked at Alaska Native Medical Center for five years serving the Native Alaskan population and learning about the indigenous people of Alaska. While in Alaska\, she and her husband spent their free time exploring the state. She was excited for the opportunity to live and work in Mammoth with two surgeons she trained with in Seattle and so seized the opportunity to relocate to the Eastern Sierra.\n\n\n\nDr. Sindell and her husband feel fortunate to live in Mammoth Lakes with so many opportunities to explore and enjoy the outdoors. Most of their free time is spent exploring and playing outdoors\n\n \n\nAreas of Interest\n\nGeneral Surgery\, Trauma\, Vascular\, Thoracic\, and Endoscopic Services\n\n \n\nBoard Certification: American Board of Medical Specialties of Surgery\n\n \n\n \n\nResidency Training\n\nVirginia Mason Medical Center\, Seattle\, WA\n\n \n\nMedical Degree\n\nAlbany Medical College\, Albany\, NY\n\n \n\nUndergraduate Degree\n\nSiena College\, Loudonville\, NY\n\n \n\nHonors and Awards\n\nQualis Healthcare Quality Improvement Award\, Washington Statewith their two young children. Dr. Sindell and her family enjoy skiing\, biking\, hiking and traveling.\n\n \n\nTom Parker\, CEO\n\n\n\nTom Parker joined the Mammoth Hospital team as Chief Executive Officer in December\, 2018. Tom's career in healthcare spans much of his life he started working in hospitals when he was 16 as a surgical orderly. Following graduate school\, he worked for Legacy Health System in Oregon for 14 years\, holding positions from Administrative Associate to Administrator of Legacy at Mount Hood Medical Center in Gresham\, Oregon. Before he took over at Mammoth Hospital\, Tom spent eight years at Snoqualmie Valley Hospital in Snoqualmie\, Washington\, where he served as Chief Operating Officer and CEO.\n\n\n\nTom holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Utah and a Master's in Hospital Administration as well as an MBA from the University of Minnesota.\n\n\n\nMoving to Mammoth Lakes rekindled Tom's love of skiing\, and he and his wife Kristen have enjoyed skiing together at Mammoth and June Mountains. Tom has also gotten to know the highways of the Sierra on his motorcycle\, a Harley-Davidson Street Glide. He and Kristen are both active in their church and serve in the local congregation and in the community.\n\n\n\nTom serves on the Board of Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra as well as the Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce. He also has been organizing the Mammoth Rocks Motorcycle Rally since 2020.\n\n\n\nTo Tom and Kristen\, family is everything\, and living in Mammoth Lakes has allowed them to be closer to their family and to be able to share with them the beauty of the Eastern Sierra.
