4th of July Parade: Make it Mammoth. Go the Extra Mile
The Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce is proud to present the 2026 4th of July Parade on Saturday, July 4 — marking America’s 250th anniversary (1776–2026).
This year’s theme, Make It Mammoth — Go the Extra Mile, sets the tone for a big, locally rooted celebration.
We’re so excited to have Olympic medalist Deena Kastor leading this year’s 4th of July Parade as the Grand Marshal. One of the most accomplished distance runners in U.S. history and a longtime Mammoth local, Deena is the perfect fit for this year’s theme.
We are excited to have High Country Lumber as the 2026 Competition Sponsor!
This year's theme is "Make it Mammoth. Go the Extra Mile".
Float registrations are open until Friday, June 26, 2026
Businesses, organizations, group of friends and families are encouraged to be part of the parade. So grab your crew and start thinking about your float. Think big, think local, and show us what makes Mammoth, Mammoth. Bring the theme to life in your float for a chance to win Best Float. $500 cash prize for first place, PLUS cash prizes for 2nd and 3rd!

The parade starts at the intersection of Chateau Road and Old Mammoth Road and ends at the corner of Manzanita Road and Main Street.
Heads up! There are some changes to road closures and traffic flow this year. Enhanced road closures and detours will be in place before and during the parade to support parade setup and improve safety for everyone. Please review the map below and plan ahead, as access and traffic patterns will be different from previous years.

In past years, it’s been a fun tradition for spectators and parade participants to spray water or toss water balloons, but it’s grown to a point where it can create safety concerns. So, to help make this year’s parade enjoyable and safe for everyone, we kindly ask that you please don’t spray or throw water at the floats. Thank you for helping keep our parade a fun and safe experience for all!
Are you ready to be part of the parade? With the 4th of July falling on a Saturday, we're expecting a big crowd. Sponsoring is a great way to show your support for the community while gaining strong visibility in front of locals and visitors alike. The Chamber couldn’t do it without the support of local sponsors (click below for opportunities).
