Free Interpretive Hike - Convict Lake

Summer is calling and the mountains are answering! It’s officially hiking season here in the Eastern Sierra, and we are excited to be lacing up our boots for a summer full of fun and educational guided interpretive hikes.
When: Saturday May 31, 9:00am – 11:00am
Where: Convict Lake – Meet at Convict Lake Trailhead by parking area on south side of lake (turn left when you get to the lake and follow road around to parking area. Additional parking alongside road.)
What: Easy 2.5 mile loop trail that is mostly flat. Learn how Convict Lake got it’s name, why Laurel Mt looks the way it does and maybe even spot a bald eagle!
All ages are welcome on all of our hikes, but children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
We recommend dressing in weather appropriate layers, having sun protection such as hats and sunglasses, wearing comfortable walking/hiking shoes, and bringing a small pack with water and snacks.
