Power Lunch: Forest Management
Wildfires across the west are escalating, is size, cost and severity. The threat of wildfire in Mammoth Lakes is very real and needs immediate action. Forest Restoration actions are a known mitigation measure that can begin to reduce impacts to local communities and provide emergency services personnel tactical options when risking their lives to protect communities under increasingly challenging conditions.
The Eastern Sierra Climate & Communities Resilience Project (ESCCRP) is a landscape scale project on the Inyo National Forest aimed to help protect the Town of Mammoth Lakes from catastrophic loss from wildfire. It also will work to promote healthier forest conditions upon which local livelihoods depend. ESCCRP is engaging with the local business community to ask for you help in making this project a success story.
Come learn the Who, What, Where, When and Why about the project and help brainstorm what the local businesses can do to help.
