This Power Lunch will feature Eric Wasserman, Managing Partner of Orion Capital, and Colin Fernie, Wealth Advisor, sharing insights on smart financial strategies for business. The presentation will touch on business succession planning, life insurance, and retirement plans—timely topics for any business owner or professional planning for the future.

A bit about our Presenters:
Eric Wasserman is a Managing Partner of Orion Capital. He holds Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 licenses with LPL Financial in addition to his General Insurance and California LTC partnership licenses. Eric brings over 25 years of experience in the financial industry where he has worked hard to serve his client's needs by providing customized investment strategies throughout multiple economic cycles. His philosophy is to explain the complex financial world in terms that his clients can understand and relate to and to help them aim to achieve their goals.
Mr. Wasserman's comprehensive knowledge has led to regular media appearances as a guest and host on regional, national and globally syndicated programs including CNN Financial's The Money Gang, NJ Channel 12 and Business Talk Radio. Additionally, he was sought after as a regular contributor for several printed media publications.
Early in his career, he served as a portfolio manager and advisor with the Magnet Investment Group in Randolph, NJ. In 2002, his passion for skiing and outdoor sports led him to relocate to Mammoth Lakes, California. Following his cross-country move, he started an Edward Jones office in 2003, single-handedly building a top-producing branch. He founded Mammoth Wealth Management in 2014 so he could provide a more comprehensive platform to service his clients by giving him the freedom to customize his offerings to address their individual needs.
Eric is a committed community leader, investing his time in building the Mammoth Lakes community. He has served as Mobility Commissioner, Recreation Commissioner, Rotary Club Treasurer, two-term Grand Juror, member of the Advisory Council for Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra, President of the Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce, as well as an integral role in the creation of Mammoth Lakes Tourism and serving as a Founding Board member.
Eric received a BA from the University of Pittsburgh in 1994 with concentrations in Business, Behavioral Neuroscience, and Heath Care.
Colin Fernie holds Series 7 and 66 registrations through LPL Financial in addition to his California Life, Accident and Health Insurance License. He is a holistic resource for his clients, strategizing for retirement while serving their needs during their most pivotal moments.
Throughout his career as a successful entrepreneur and real estate investor, Colin has earned a reputation for being organized and responsive to his client's needs. He puts a strong emphasis on communication to build lasting relationships with his clients and looks forward to helping them throughout their entire journey to retirement.
A native of Columbus, OH, he moved west after college. He has been very involved in the Mammoth Lakes community since his arrival – which culminated in being elected to the Mammoth Lakes Town Council. Colin has also served as an executive board member for Mammoth Lakes Recreation, Mammoth Lakes Tourism, Mammoth Lakes Housing, and the Eastern Sierra Transit Authority.
Colin graduated from the University of Rochester with a dual major in Psychology and Religion. Colin was also a midfielder for the University of Rochester Men's Soccer Team. He has lived in Mammoth Lakes full-time for 16 years. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Brittany and sons Bennett and Louie.
