Social Media & Content Coordinator
Must live in the Eastern Sierra and be available in-person (Bishop, Mammoth, June). No relocation offered for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media
- Own day-to-day social media execution across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube, posting on a schedule aligned with the marketing and communications calendars.
- Create a social media content calendar to be reviewed and approved by the Marketing Manager.
- Be a social media “wizard” with a finger on the pulse of trends, new platform features (Shops, affiliate tools, etc.) and UGC trends that resonate with the outdoor community, while staying on brand.
- Edit long-form video content into short, engaging clips for social media, maximizing content use across multiple platforms.
- Track performance metrics, analyze trends and optimize content for engagement and reach.
- Support visibility and engagement for local initiatives such as the Ridge Village Store and Ridge Collective A-frame.
Community Management
- Engage with the social media community, responding to comments, DMs and fostering authentic connections with relevant accounts, followers, brand ambassadors and the broader outdoor community.
- Identify opportunities to highlight UGC, repost fan content and engage with relevant creators and influencers.
- Monitor sentiment, escalate issues when needed and maintain a positive brand presence online.
Content Production & Shoots
- Help coordinate and execute photoshoots under the direction of the Marketing Manager, handling logistics, product prep, on-site setup and styling.
- Create short form content as needed that is on-brand, connects with outdoor communities and supports the broader adventure lifestyle.
- Capture behind-the-scenes content and UGC-style moments during shoots and occasionally appear on camera for organic content.
Content Library & Organization
- Maintain a well-organized, searchable content library that serves the entire marketing team and other departments, making it easy to find assets by product, campaign, athlete, style, or other relevant categories.
- Ensure all assets are properly tagged with metadata, filenames and usage notes so they are ready for both organic and paid campaigns, including social media, email, web and advertising.
- Collaborate with team members across marketing, e-commerce and creative to ensure new content is uploaded promptly and categorized correctly.
Other Duties
- Assist the Marketing Manager with field marketing activations; some travel may be required.
Requirements
- Experience managing social media accounts for brands, preferably outdoor, lifestyle, or apparel - examples or references required.
- Video editing skills for social platforms (short-form cutdowns from long-form footage, adding text overlay etc).
- Comfortable on camera and creating authentic content.
- Knowledge of social media trends, UGC and platform features (Shops, affiliate tools, etc.)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Experience with community management across multiple platforms.
- Ability to coordinate photoshoots and manage content production logistics.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Suite and Canva are a plus.
- Passion for the outdoors and storytelling.
