Operations Assistant

Position Overview: Part-time in-office position, estimating (20) hours per week. Pay range $25-$28/hour dependent on experience.
 
Event Operations

  • Coordinate, set up, execute, and break down Chamber events
  • Manage event logistics, registrations, vendors, supplies, and volunteers
  • Support promotion and execution of:
    • Business After Hours
    • Power Lunch
    • 4th of July Parade
    • Business Awards Gala
    • Community Coffee
    • Additional Chamber events and programs
  • Maintain event timelines, budgets, and operational checklists
  • Post event, download content to Dropbox 
Marketing & Communications
  • Develop and execute content calendars
  • Maintain MammothLakesChamber.org website content:o   Update website pages with routine text and image changes.
    • Publish blog posts, press releases and newsletter links.
    • Assist in maintaining accurate and current website content.
  • Keep LinkTree updated
  • Add Member Events to newsletter
  • Assist the team with sending out Press Releases
Other Duties
Provide operational support across all Chamber functions as assigned 
 
Requirements
  • Excellent computer, technology and administrative skills
    • Competent with Apple Mac computers with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Teams), Google Suite, Monday.com, MailChimp and Google Analytics,
    • Basic knowledge of AI platforms such as ChatGPT
  • Understanding of the Mammoth Lakes community, economy and tourism landscape
  • Experience working in an office/professional environment and being part of a close-knit office team
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities through time management strategies
  • Positive attitude and commitment to the Chamber’s mission, vision and values
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Strong communication and active listening skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Critical thinker with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
  • Valid CA driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Ideal Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience updating website content using a Content Management System (CMS) such as WordPress is desirable. Training will be provided on the Chamber's ChamberMaster/GrowthZone website platform.
  • Knowledge of basic graphic design such as the Canva program
